Reiki was founded on the revelation of the body’s natural energy system. Practitioners and Masters strive to improve health and wellness through self-care and offering Reiki to others. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy” – translating into “spiritually guided life force energy.”
Originating in ancient Tibetan Buddhist teachings, then “rediscovered” in the 1800’s and the form of Reiki that most practice today has been used since the 1900s. Dr. Mikao Usui, (Usui Sensei) desired to heal others through touch, not associated with any specific religion. While training to become a Buddhist priest/monk, he hiked up Mount Kurama, fasted, meditated and prayed for 21 days. On the final morning, Dr. Usui saw ancient Sanskrit symbols, which he used to develop the Usui Reiki that we practice today! It was brought to America by Mrs. Hawayo Takata in 1938 and remained an oral tradition until 1982.
Reiki is now utilized, all over the world, in healing every-day-life, hospitals, hospices, and even in the VA for PTSD! It decreases the symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and sleep disorders. While it does not replace the care of a physician or a psychotherapist, it does complement other treatment options as it increases the efficacy of healing.
The 60 minute Reiki session can be experienced in the office at the farm. Clients lie on a massage table fully clothed, as Katie gently places her hands, palms down, on or just above your body in different locations. The session will close with Kat Su Ke Ko Can, a Japanese rejuvenated healing experiences. Reiki always works for your highest good, never causing harm.
Distant Reiki sessions can be experienced by clients who are not physically present in the office! In accordance to the Hermetic Law of Similarity, we know that we are all connected, we are all made of energy and part of a larger whole. Sessions can be scheduled over the phone or via Zoom.
You will set the intention for your time, and the Reiki energy will work to unblock energetic blocks, rebalance your chakras and enhancing your body’s ability to heal.
Reiki healing is beneficial for everyone – humans & animals alike! Animals are highly sensitive beings who respond to and can carry outside energies. They also have chakras that need rebalancing! Animals experience deep relaxation, reduction of pain/inflammation and reduced stress during their session. Like humans, Reiki sessions can be schedule to help improve healing, reduce stress/pain OR as part of a wellness plan!
You are welcome to bring your cats/dogs/other small animals to my office OR I can offer distant Reiki. I am available to travel to those who can not make the trip to Mooresville OR for larger animals (a trip fee may be applied).
Living Beings are all energy matters – a part of a larger whole – and we are all connected. We are more than just our physical bodies; we have emotions, thoughts, and spirit – other levels of energy – that exist both separately and in tandem with our physical self. All living beings have an energy body, which is made up of an energetic field (Aura) that surrounds the energy centers (Chakras) and pathways (Meridians).
Therefore, I am able to give you Reiki even if we are not face to face! We will set the intention for our time together, and then you simply lay down and relax! Sessions are similar to In-Office sessions, except you can be in the comfort of your own space!
Distant Reiki is available for humans and animals over the phone or via Zoom. I simply need to know the name and location of the person or animal!
During your session, you are invited to set your intention and then relax! We will work to release whatever is no longer serving your highest good. Katie will focus on clearing your body of any energetic blocks, re-balancing your chakras and bringing forth any messages that you maybe needing. The session will end with a Japanese method called “Ket Sue Ki-Ko Kan-Ho” allowing you to leave lighter and rejuvenated!
Reiki sessions can be integrated into your physical wellness plan, your mental health plan OR as a one time experience! Makes a great gift too!
